Fire system or commonly known as fire alarm system is an integrated system designed and built to detect the presence of fire symptoms, to then give warning (warning) in the evacuation system and followed up automatically and manually by the fire fighting system (fire fighting System).
In the field, 3 detection and control systems are known:
1. Non addressable system.
This system is also called conventional system. In this system MCFA receives direct input signal from all detectors (usually very limited number) without addressing and direct commands the output component to respond to the input. This system is generally used in small-scale building / supervision areas, such as housing, shops or certain rooms in a secured building.
2. Semi addressable system
In this system is done grouping / zoning on detector & receiver input based on area supervision (supervisory area). Each of these zones is controlled (either input or output) by the zone controller that has a specific address / address. When the detector or other input receiver provides a signal, the MCFA will respond (I / O) based on the zone controller that feeds it.
In the construction of each zone can consist of:
a. one floor in a building / building.
b. several adjacent rooms on one floor in a building / building.
c. some rooms that have a tai characteristic in a building / building.
The MCFA display reads the zone address of the fire symptoms, so that the action to be taken can be localized only to that zone.
3. Full addressable system.
Is the development of semi-addressable system. In this system all detectors and input devices have a specific address, so that the blackout and evacuation process can be done directly at the point that is estimated to have a fire.
For the main components of fire alarm system consists of:
1. MCFA (Main Control Fire Alarm)
MCFA is the main equipment of protection system. MCFA functions to receive incoming signal (input signal) from the detector and other protection components (fixed heat detector, smoke detector, ROR heat detector, etc.).
2. Detecting Device.
